Welcome message from Head of Elementary

I am proud to introduce the Elementary School at AISJ, where we welcome children and their families from all around the world!

Our Anglican Foundation means that we are a Christian School, welcoming children of all faiths and none, where children learn and grow respecting other’s backgrounds and beliefs. Our Christian values form the basis of a very caring community where our staff really do go ‘the extra mile’ for the children in their care. Through Elementary assemblies, RE and PSHE lessons, children learn the importance of values such as kindness, courage and perseverance.

From 2 years, children join our Early Years department, where we follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Our Early Years classes buzz with the excitement of learning. We provide a happy and secure learning environment in which every child is valued as a unique individual and enabled to achieve. Our experienced teachers and support staff work closely with parents to support the development and learning of each Early Years pupil.

Our Primary classes follow the UK National Curriculum, supported by the International Primary Curriculum which is taught through exciting cross-curricular projects. We work hard to provide an outstanding learning environment where the latest world-class research is used to inform our teaching approaches.

We recognize that all children have enormous potential and our teachers look for those things in each one that will inspire them to learn and progress. We are proud of the progress that our children make during their time with us and the standards that they reach by the end of Key Stage 2. If children need additional support, our highly regarded and experienced Inclusion Department supports those children new to learning English and with other additional needs. Our Inclusion Manager can refer for more specialist assessments if they are needed.

In addition, in our Primary classes the children are taught Music, Art, Physical Education and a Modern Foreign Language (Arabic, Hebrew or French) by Specialist Teachers. After school hours we offer a range of clubs and extra-curricular activities.

We enjoy involving parents in the life of the school and children’s learning experiences as much as we can. We have an active and supportive PTA, which all families become part of, enabling new families to soon make friends and feel part of our AISJ community.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. I would be very happy to talk to you further about what we can offer your child at AISJ.
