The Anglican International School, Jerusalem (AISJ) is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher of Humanities to join our team from August 2024. AISJ is a well-established, International school in the heart of Jerusalem, catering for students aged 2 to 18 from the international and local communities. The post will suit a candidate with energy, personal integrity, initiative and the ability to work closely within a team to contribute to the effective delivery of teaching and learning in Humanities in Middle School and High School. This post would include a role as a homeroom teacher (form tutor).
AISJ is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA) and is an IB World School delivering the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programs. Approximately 75% of our student body comes from an international background, with the remaining 25% comprising local Jewish, Muslim and Christian students. AISJ is where the world goes to school.

The successful applicants will meet the following essential criteria:

ELEMENTARY/PRIMARY TEACHER
We are searching for an outstanding Elementary/Primary School Teacher.
This is a full-time position starting August 2024
AISJ is a well-respected International school in the heart of Jerusalem, catering for students aged 2 to 18. Our Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Classes follow the English National Curriculum supported by the International Primary Curriculum.
Approximately 75% of our students come from the international community based in Jerusalem, with the remaining 25% comprising local students. The Elementary School is a member of COBIS and AoBSO.
The successful candidate will:

Be a committed Christian

Be an excellent teacher who is able to provide high quality learning experiences

Have significant experience, preferably across more than one year group

Have thorough understanding of the British National Curriculum and or the International Primary Curriculum, and excellent understanding of current best practice in Primary teaching

Have the subject knowledge to teach English and Mathematics up to Primary Year 6 level.

Be able to lead on a Core subject across the Elementary School

Be a positive role model to pupils and other staff, demonstrating high levels of motivation and enthusiasm

Be able to work as part of an effective and committed team

Be able to build positive relationships with staff and parents

Have commitment to be actively involved in the wider life of the school
This post will initially be to teach in KS2 (7-11 years)
