The Anglican International School, Jerusalem (AISJ) is seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our team from August 2026. AISJ is a well-established, international school in the heart of Jerusalem, catering for students aged 2 to 18 from the international and local communities. The post will suit a candidate with energy, personal integrity, initiative and the ability to work closely within a team to contribute to the effective delivery of teaching and learning in Physical and Health Education.
AISJ is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA), British Schools Overseas (BSO) and is an IB World School delivering the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programs. Approximately 75% of our student body comes from an international background, with the remaining 25% comprising local Jewish, Muslim and Christian students. AISJ is where the world goes to school.

The successful applicants will meet the following essential criteria:
- A qualified teacher or equivalent professional experience
- A range of competencies, qualities and experience teaching Physical and Health Education. Ideally, this would include experience of delivering the International Primary Curriculum and IB Middle Years Curriculum.
- An ability to teach across multiple grade levels with ages ranging from 7 – 18 years old.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, and parents in a multicultural and frequently demanding environment, with sensitivity to local cultural needs.

The Role of the AISJ Teacher:
The Teacher is responsible for the effective delivery of the curriculum at the level appropriate for the class level, according to standards set in the IPC and IBMYP school curriculum.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a member of staff of The Anglican International School you are required to

• Be supportive of colleagues and the school as a whole.
• Behave in a manner which is, at all times, appropriate, in accordance with the Christian philosophy and which will not damage the reputation or standing of the school.
• Retain confidentiality regarding information concerning individual pupils, colleagues and the school as a whole where appropriate and as required.
• Play an active part in the life and development of the school.
• Be prepared to accept and respond to any reasonable request or directive which the Head Teacher or the Acting Replacement may require.
• Be punctual and well-dressed and behave in a manner which reflects the school’s expectations.
